What is Offset’s Net Worth?
As an American rapper, singer, and songwriter, Offset possesses a net worth of $28 million. He is predominantly recognized for being part of the hip-hop trio Migos, which includes fellow rappers Quavo and the late Takeoff. Throughout his time with Migos, he has contributed to four studio albums: “Yung Rich Nation” (2015), “Culture” (2017), “Culture II” (2018), and “Culture III” (2021). At the height of their fame, Migos was among the highest-earning music groups worldwide, collectively earning $25 million in a year between 2017 and 2018. Unfortunately, Takeoff was tragically murdered in November 2022. In addition to his Migos affiliation, Offset is also recognized for his marriage to Cardi B, which lasted from 2017 to 2023.
Early Life
Born as Kiari Kendrell Cephus on December 14, 1991, in Lawrenceville, Georgia, Offset enjoyed a middle-class upbringing in Gwinnett County, Georgia, alongside his bandmates Quavo and Takeoff. The three are directly related; Quavo is Offset’s cousin, whereas Takeoff is Offset’s cousin once removed (Quavo is Takeoff’s uncle). Their musical tastes were shaped by artists such as Outkast, Gucci Mane, Hot Boys, Lil Wayne, and Master P.
Career
In 2008, Offset, Quavo, and Takeoff came together to establish the hip-hop group Migos, initially using the name Polo Club. They gained early attention with their mixtape, “Juug Season,” released in 2011 and achieved fame in 2013 with the hit single “Versace.” Following this, they debuted their first studio album, “Yung Rich Nation,” in 2015, which secured spots on various charts: No. 3 on the US Rap chart, No. 5 on the US R&B/Hip-Hop chart, and No. 17 on the Billboard 200 chart. Their significant breakthrough came with the 2017 single “Bad and Boujee” featuring Lil Uzi Vert, which became a viral sensation, particularly thanks to Offset’s memorable lyrics “rain drop, drop top.” In 2017, Migos also unveiled their second studio album, “Culture,” which debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 and achieved platinum certification from the RIAA, later followed by “Culture II” in 2018.
Apart from his contributions to Migos, Offset collaborated on an album with 21 Savage and Metro Boomin titled “Without Warning,” released in 2017. This album, featuring guest appearances from artists such as Travis Scott and Quavo, reached No. 4 on the US Billboard 200 chart. In February 2019, he released his debut solo album, “Father of 4,” under Motown and Quality Control Music, featuring contributions from J. Cole, Cardi B, Big Rube, Gunna, CeeLo Green, and Gucci Mane. “Father of 4” debuted at No. 4 on the US Billboard 200 and was well-received by critics and fans alike.
In August 2022, Offset revealed plans for his second solo album, releasing two singles, “54321” and “Code.” However, he initiated a lawsuit against his record label, Quality Control Music, concerning rights to his solo work. His legal team contended that he had paid significantly for his rights as a solo artist following negotiations the previous year, but QC allegedly sought to claim his recent track.
Amidst rumors that Offset had an affair with Quavo’s ex-girlfriend Saweetie, Quavo and Takeoff distanced themselves from Migos, forming a duo named Unc & Phew. Tragically, Takeoff was fatally shot outside a bowling alley in Houston, Texas, following a party on November 1, 2022. This incident led Offset to postpone the release of his upcoming album. In 2023, a physical confrontation reportedly occurred between Offset and Quavo backstage at the Grammys. However, by February, the two reconciled and performed together at the BET Awards in homage to the late Takeoff.
Business Ventures and Other Work
Offset has participated in advertising campaigns for various fashion designers and brands, including Gosha Rubchinskiy, Bryce Barnes, and Lavati, in addition to his music career. In 2016, he also appeared with the other members of Migos on an episode of the television series “Atlanta.” He launched a new show titled “SKRRT with Offset” on Quibi in 2020, where he drives around with other celebrities in luxurious, high-end vehicles.
In August 2019, Offset was introduced as a new investor in the Esports organization FaZe Clan, though the specifics and size of his investment were not disclosed. He later appeared in two videos from FaZe Clan on YouTube. His acting debut took place in NCIS: Los Angeles, and in 2020, he joined Axis Replay to assist struggling artists. After suffering the loss of his mother to bladder cancer in 2012, Offset raised $500,000 for the American Cancer Society.

Personal Life and Legal Issues
Beginning his relationship with fellow American rapper Cardi B in 2017, Offset secretly wed her in Georgia in September of that year, though details of their marriage only surfaced in June 2018 when TMZ discovered their wedding certificate. Despite being married, Offset made a public proposal to Cardi during a live performance in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on October 27, 2017. Cardi revealed their baby news during an appearance on “Saturday Night Live” in April 2018, announcing that they were expecting their first child. Their daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus, was born on July 10, 2018. In addition, Offset has three other children from earlier relationships: sons Jordan and Kody, and daughter Kalea. Offset and Cardi’s relationship has been marked by significant ups and downs, often driven by rumors of his infidelity.
On September 15, 2020, Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset, seeking primary physical custody of their daughter Kulture, child support, and an equitable division of property since they reportedly had no prenup. At the time of the filing, they were already separated. However, they were reportedly back together just a month later. The couple announced in June 2021 that they were expecting a second child, and later that year, their son, Wave Set Cephus, was born. Then, on August 1, 2024, news broke that Cardi had filed for divorce from Offset.
Legal Problems
Offset has faced multiple legal issues, having been convicted of felonies related to burglary and theft. He served time in DeKalb County Jail, Georgia, in 2013 for violating probation linked to those offenses. In 2015, he, along with Quavo and Takeoff, was arrested at a Migos concert at Georgia Southern University, facing charges that included possession of an undisclosed Schedule II narcotic, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm in a school safety zone, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. While still in custody, Offset was subsequently charged with battery and inciting a riot within a penal facility.
Following events in which he assaulted another inmate, the facility released him in December 2015 after he spent eight months in custody. He accepted an Alford plea deal that led to the dismissal of the gun, drug, and gang-related charges against him, in exchange for pleading guilty to inciting a riot, paying a $1,000 fine, and serving five years of probation. Additionally, as part of his plea agreement, he agreed to be banned from Bulloch, Effingham, Jenkins, and Screven counties in Georgia.
In April 2019, Offset encountered a felony charge regarding the possession of three handguns and drugs stemming from a previous arrest in July 2018. In October 2020, he was apprehended by the Beverly Hills Police Department for carrying a concealed weapon near a Donald Trump rally, but was released shortly after. In 2021, he faced a lawsuit from Platinum Transportation Group, a car rental company based in Los Angeles, after allegedly renting a Bentley Bentayga and delaying the return date several times before claiming the car was missing and he had no idea of its whereabouts.
Real Estate
In December 2019, news emerged that Cardi B and Offset had acquired a home just outside Atlanta for $5.5 million. This 22,000-square-foot residence features five bedrooms and 11 bathrooms and is situated on nearly six acres of land. The property was listed for $10 million in 2017. Career Earnings
Between September 2017 and September 2018, Migos collectively earned $25 million, with Offset’s share of those total earnings estimated to be around $8 million. This impressive figure was primarily generated by an intense touring schedule, where the group performed 93 shows over a span of 12 months. Moreover, they rank among the most popular streaming artists worldwide, amassing 4 billion streams during the same period. The earnings between September 2018 and September 2019 reached $36 million.
