tag_escape

Filters a string cleaned and escaped for output as an HTML tag.

Description

apply_filters( 'tag_escape', (string) $safe_tag, (string) $tag_name ); 

Parameters (2)

0. $safe_tag (string)
The tag name after it has been escaped.
1. $tag_name (string)
The text before it was escaped.

Usage

To run the hook, copy the example below.
  1. $safe_tag = apply_filters( 'tag_escape', $safe_tag, $tag_name ); 
  2.  
  3. if ( !empty( $safe_tag ) ) { 
  4.  
  5. // everything has led up to this point...

The following example is for adding a hook callback.
