is_single

Is the query for an existing single post?.

Description

is_single( (string) $post = '' ); 

Works for any post type, except attachments and pages

If the $post parameter is specified, this function will additionally check if the query is for one of the Posts specified.

Parameters (1)

0. $post — Optional. (string) => ''
Post ID, title, slug, or array of such. Default empty.

Usage

  1. if ( !function_exists( 'is_single' ) ) { 
  2. require_once ABSPATH . WPINC . '/query.php';
